 The story of the Gothic line lived with a re-enactment of some events happened during the fighting’s to freedom Italy, guided by an English soldier. A chance to meet General Alexander, Sir Winston Churchill and other actors that will make you live in a nice historical experience.

Day 1

Arrival in Pesaro, city part of the Gothic line

Pick-up at Bologna airport and transfer to Pesaro, part of the Gothic Line and accommodation in the hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day 2

The “Olive” operation

Transfer to Montemaggiore and meet Sir Winston Churchill, Generals Reese and Alexander, while planning the “Olive” operation from the observing point in the village. A re-enactment of some events of the offensive battle against the Gothic Line. You will be accompanied by our guides and actors wearing real war costumes driving an original Jeep. The historical itinerary will follow the Canadian army footsteps until Montecchio War Cemetery. You will then reach Tavullia for a visit of the Canadian Memorial Q.204. Transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3

The history of little villages and communities

Discover the history of little villages and communities, the Gothic line museum of Montegridolfo, the museum of Casinina, that hosts more than 3,000 war findings and rare collections, Montescudo, to visit the ruins of the medieval church of Saint Peter bombed in September ’44, restored and converted into a Museum of the Eastern Gothic Line and Peace Church. Transfer to Coriano, to see a Commonwealth cemetery. Back to the hotel. Easy walking night tour in the historical town and dinner in the oldest “Osteria” of Pesaro. Overnight.

The II world war cemetery of Gradara, San Bartolo hill…strategical war bunkers and anti-aircraft artilleries

Short transfer to Gradara to see the Commonwealth Cemetery. Transfer to San Bartolo hill to know the strategical defensive German artilleries. Visit of a war bunker guided by soldiers enjoying a nice tasting. Stop lunch in a typical restaurant. In the afternoon transfer to Giogo Pass in Tuscany, where it took place another violent battle between the Allied army and the German army. Transfer to the Hotel in Borgo San Lorenzo area, dinner and overnight.

Giogo pass, a jump inside the battle, army position and original war artifacts

Discover the site of “Passo del Giogo”, Tuscan part of the Gothic line. Visit of the battle field walking around strategic military placements restored to recreate the atmosphere of the war. Stop lunch. In the afternoon visit of the Gothic line museum, to live the atmosphere of a German bunker faithfully rebuilt inside the museum and see a collection of personal effects, uniforms and war equipment. Transfer to the hotel dinner and overnight.
